Droks Running
So the other day a guildie asked me to run them around Tyria. A few months ago I used to run droks constantly on my R/W, so I thought I might as well give it another go. I was pretty sure I would get owned, with the changes to agro and stuff, especially the wurms. But of course, it was the opposite of difficult. Probably the easiest that I've ever ran it.
There was another topic on ranger droks running, but that seems to have died when NF came out.
I was wondering if anyone else runs Droks on their Ranger, using the old school R/W build. And of course, if anyone wants to see a Ranger run it, chuck me a PM here or ingame on the name. I'd be more than happy to show you the run, provided I'm not busy at the time.
IGNs: I Am Mire, Mire Teh Divine, Akihiro Hishida (ranger)

I used to able to run it however with the Aggro changes they made it got to the point were the Tengu/Grawl/Wurms etc. wouldnt stop following u and so u couldnt stop to heal. And they increased the damage on all the different creatures gradually and added in a few new skills. At which point i stopped running since it began more hassle than fun. I guess the lessened Ai Anet changed to in normal mode (from the recent HM changes) should make it easier. Ill have to give it a go again.

Yeah that's what I thought, that they made normal mode a buttload easier. I spawned the very first wurm in the run, and it just stood there and I ran past, I even aggro'd the Ice Imps, but the wurm still stood way back before the first tunnel thing.

I usually do runs in my R/A build but all I can do is everything BUT droks... just too danged hard with the speed hexes eating at you and that WICKED wurm and the Tengu and the Grawl and those Ice Imps.... All in all, I wish I could but...
I think I can't... I think I can't... I think I can't... I think I can't... (If you don't understand what that just meant, don't bother asking... )

Have you searched the forum for a new build?
Maybe there is a build here on the forum somewhere but you can't find it.
Well if you wanna droks run i think you should run with a dervish, my mate does that.

Thanks for the heads-up. I did have all skills completed for this build (Reikai's R/W build?) on my ranger but never got around to practicing it until the changes and adjustments came in.
With your update (and adjustment to NM), I'll look you up if you won't mind. Ranger IGN is Boi Choi

No worries. Yeah, its the R/W [dodge, zojuns, serpents, charge, shields up, balanced stance, whirling, troll] build.
Hysterisk, I think it's fun running with a R/W. Back before NF when wammo's ran Droks, it was so much fun to join a group that was being run by a wammo, then outrunning him, or waiting till he died then running to droks. Most warriors would trash talk and say that Rangers couldn't run droks, then ragequit. Then I'd run the group to Droks for free. Good fun.

That completely defeats the purpose of running it with a Ranger

Try R/D with Dodge, Zojun's Haste, Storm Chaser, Vow of Silence {E}, Fleeting Stability, Pious Renewal, Mystic Regeneration and Vital Boon. You'll want a staff with +15 energy and any % Enchanting.
Not 100% sure of attributes, but 12 Earth Prayers, 10+3+1 Expertise and the rest in Wilderness Survival sounds about right. Wind Prayers isn't important - you only want Pious Renewal for hex removal.
